Tim Kaine recently won the endorsement of WaPo for the next governor of Virginia. Surprise! Surprise! The Washington Post always endorses Democrats, especially if they are northeastern liberal elites like Tim Kaine! Poor Tim Kaine. He has been trying to run as a “possible” Republican in the Red State of Virginia. The Washington Post called him on it. The Post’s endorsement cinches it! Tim Kaine is really as liberal as he used to say he was.
Although the Post has given him the endorsement “kiss of death”, other Democrats are giving Kaine nothing but grief. The popular, leftist “News Blog” created an entire page, calling Kaine a coward and a racist. “Tim Kaine is a coward — Coward. Black people should shut their mouths”.
The most popular Democrat Web log of the blogosphere is The Daily Kos. Its operator, Markos Moulitsas, wrote last week in “Cowardice at the Kaine Campaign“, “I hate Democrats scared of their own shadows. And apparently Virginia’s Tim Kaine (or those running his campaign) is one of them.”
Another popular leftist blog, “Swing State Project” added “VA-Gov: Tim Kaine Embarrasses Democrats while Losing Election”:
Virginia gubernatorial candidate Tim Kaine is finishing his campaign as he started it: as a disgrace to Democrats.
Today, Tim Kaine’s pathetic campaign alienated both the netroots and the African American community. The netroots have the most to offer with last minute rapid response, something the Kaine campaign will now be lacking. This will also hurt their fundraising and volunteer potential after they were slammed on a blog read by more than a million Democrats a day.
But it gets worse, one in five people in Virginia is African American and here’s a quote that is going to be moving fast: “I guess they have a problem with black people expressing themselves in print,” Gilliard said.
While some might be surprised to see a campaign **** up so much in a single day, it is par for the course for Tim Kaine’s campaign.
Continuing with the path of receiving “out of state endorsements”, yesterday The Washington Post reported “Michael Schiavo Backs Kaine for Va. Gov.”, Yes, Tim Kaine was further blessed with an endorsement from the infamous Michael Schiavo. Interesting how all of these people outside of Virginia think they can tell Virginians how to vote. How many votes will Michael Schiavo’s endorsement generate for Kaine in Virginia?
Former Democrat Governor Wilder Disagrees with Tim Kaine on Tax Increases:
Richmond Mayor — and former Governor — Doug Wilder reminded Virginians that he disagreed with Tim Kaine’s desire to raising taxes in 2004 by the largest amount in Virginia history. “I had a different view,” Wilder said. “I still have that view.”
It is difficult to figure if Tim Kaine actually elicted their negative comments or not, as at times as he attempts to get to the right of his Republican opposition, native Virginian Jerry Kilgore, he seems to be distancing himself from his former beliefs as a self-proclaimed liberal. While the Washington Post endorsed Tim Kaine for governor, Jerry Kilgore received the endorsement of Virginia’s largest newspaper, the Richmond-Times Dispatch.
