Did Washington Post’s Leonard Downie just tell Chris Matthews on “Hard Ball” that Bob Woodward’s secret source is a male? Mr. Downie referred to the “confidential source” as “he”.
Chris Matthews is tauting Vice President Cheney as the secret third source, yet Bob Woodward described his three sources as current and former administration officials. With Andrew Card and Scooter Libbey as the two sources already identified, that would mean that the remaining third would be one who no longer works for the administration.

Who identified Andrew Card as Woodward’s source?
My bet is on VP Cheney, who was in daily contact with Woodward in June of ‘03.
By the way, Woodward is right that this whole episode is an overheated froth-at-the-mouth feeding frenzy by hysterical Democrats, much ado about nothing.

Yes, that is what everyone thinks, but didn’t he say that some of the three sources were former administration sources?

Oh, Neddy, I’m so distraught. This entire affair is at risk of being blown to smithereens by Woodward. And who knows what other witnesses will come foward now that the cat’s out of the bag.
Yes, daveinboco, it’s much made over nothing. But, as you know, the power of MSM to push the BIG LIE forces us to hunt windmills when public perception is at stake.
