And Daddy’s The Big Whopper!
The Washington power couple, the Plame-Wilsons, had their cover blown at an international airport last Thursday, as they were attempting to sneak away on vacation to an undisclosed location. As part of their creative subterfuge, they attempted the ruse of an open press conference right inside of the crowded terminal.
“My daddy’s famous, my mommy’s a secret spy,” shouted their 5-year-old, soon to be “frog-marched” son.
The boy’s spymaster mother, the shy and retired from “the agency” Lady Spy Plame, was standing nearby. With her infamous right arm she was covering the mouth of her other 5-year-old son. Yes - that right arm made famous by the “saintlier than thou” Ambassador Wilson on Meet the Press: “my wife has made it very clear that—she has authorized me to say this—she would rather chop off her right arm than say anything to the press and she will not allow herself to be photographed”.
When asked to identify himself, the little boy replied that he was known by his friends as “Scooter”, and added that his friends refer to his famous father as “The Big Whopper”. Reporters present immediately phoned in the details of the national security breach to special prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald who has already impaneled another grand jury to investigate. The buzz amongst the Washington know-it-alls is that once again Karl Rove has been caught red-handed; this time passing on super-duper national secrets to innocent children.
The “famous daddy”, Joseph Wilson, took immeasurable pride in the fact that although his son had unknowingly leaked a national secret, he never, ever revealed the undisclosed vacation hideaway of his “shy and unassuming” power parents. The former ambassador claimed that to be indisputable evidence of his ability to manage secrets as opposed to the abysmal failure of the President of the United States.
The Plame Kerfuffles and More Plame Kerfuffles

HOUSTON (Reuters) - The Washington couple at the heart of the CIA leak investigation had their cover blown by their small son as they tried to sneak away on vacation on Thursday.“My daddy’s famous, my mommy’s a secret spy,” declared the 5-year-old of his parents, former diplomat Joe Wilson and retired CIA operative Valerie Plame.
The former spy, who just retired from the agency, and the diplomat have been at the center of a CIA leak scandal that has reached into the White House.
They said they were headed to an undisclosed vacation location with their twins but stopped for a brief interview inside the airport terminal.
A special prosecutor has indicted Lewis “Scooter” Libby, a top aide to Vice President Dick Cheney, for lying in the investigation and has opened a second grand jury.
Plame’s cover at the CIA was blown after her husband accused the Bush administration of twisting prewar intelligence to support military action against Iraq. Wilson said it was deliberately intended to undercut his credibility.
Wilson said he does not know how the current investigation was progressing and has only spoken to the special prosecutor twice, most recently in late September.
Plame would not be interviewed and stood out of hearing distance with the other twin.
Wilson said his wife’s retirement allows her to spend more time with the soon to be 6-year-olds. “She enjoyed her career there,” Wilson said of the CIA.

It is a very sad and troubling day for America when the highest officials in our land can break the law, then then turn around and punish those who would reveal their crime. I blogged about this at http://mymountain.blogspot.com/2005/12/punishing-those-who-report-crimes.html
