Down On the Plantation

“I’ll say this though, I don’t think the American people if you look historically elect angry candidates. Whether it’s about remarks about plantations or if it’s the worst administration in history, Hillary Clinton seems to have anger.” ~~KEN MEHLMAN on ABC This Morning; “Expose the Left” has the video.

Danish Imams!

On October 19th, 2005, ambassadors from Islamic countries demanded a meeting with the Danish Prime Minister, wanting his government to prosecute the newspaper that published the cartoons of Mohammad. The PM gave them the brush-off, reminding them that his government could not interfere with the right to free speech.

It was then that a group of conservative Danish imams, Islamisk Trossamfund, took matters into its own hands, setting about on a tour of Saudi Arabia and Egypt with the inflammatory cartoons, plus three other mysteriously unattributed drawings. From somewhere unknown Islamisk Trossamfund obtained drawings “showing Muhammad with the face of a pig; a dog sodomising a praying Muslim; and Muhammad as a paedophile.” The creator of the Danish cartoons complains, “This was pure disinformation. We never published them.”

But the devious campaign of the Islamisk Trossamfund imams succeeded. The easily led Arab street erupted in rioting and protests, burning European embassies, and calling for death to all who disrespect Islam. Last week, Saudi Arabia recalled its ambassador from Denmark and Libya shut its embassy.

According to “Guardian Unlimited”, the journalists at Jyllands-Posten, where the cartoons were originally published were asked about regrets for their actions. “We apologised for hurting the feelings of a lot of Muslims in this. But we don’t apologise for printing the cartoons.”

Fear of Freedom

What it is that Muslims and Islamists are not able to understand about democracies is that freedom of speech serves as a pressure valve. When anger builds up and boils over, the resulting steam is released by means of the freedom to lob “ink bombs” at opponents, in lieu of physically harming them with stones, firebombs, and hatchets. Instead of fearing the press, Muslims should use it. Oh, I forget … they do use it. They use freedom of the press to offend Christians, Jews, women and assorted nations. They use freedom of speech to publish real pictures, not cartoons, of the beheadings of Christians, Jews, women and assorted others, which highly offend the loved ones and various countrymen of the beheaded ones.

Another fact about democracies that these riotous Muslims seem unable to understand, is that newspapers are privately owned and are not controlled by their governments. Denmark cannot stop a publication from printing whatever it wants, as neither can the United States. Yet, the Arab street is rioting and protesting by burning foreign embassies in their own countries, even embassies of nations not at all involved with the insulting cartoons.

Followers of Islam are claiming that what is wrong in the world is not religious extremism, but pen-stroking cartoonists who are insulting the prophet Mohammad. However, according to Article 19 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, in effect since 1948: “Everyone has the right to hold opinions without interference, and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any media, regardless of frontiers”.

When asked about this serious rift between those who believe in freedom of speech and those who believe in killing cartoonists, blasphemers and non-believers, and how this rift fails to abide by the Declaration of Human Rights, the Islamic murderers explained that their religion is a peaceful one that proscribes harming any human being. However, the sword of Allah is always at the ready to slay pigs, dogs and apes who masquerade as humans.

Where to Freedom? Kill All Who Insult Islam!
According to BBC NEWS, two Jordanian newspaper editors, Jihad Momani and Hisham Khalidi, were arrested the day after their King Abdullah condemned their republishing Danish cartoons, describing their actions as an unnecessary “abuse of freedom of speech”. They stand accused of insulting religion under Jordan’s press and publications law.

Kill Freedom LoversMr. Momani had already been fired from the weekly newspaper “Shihan” after reproducing three of the cartoons, along with an editorial questioning the angry Muslim reaction to them:

“Muslims of the world be reasonable,” wrote Mr Momani. “What brings more prejudice against Islam, these caricatures or pictures of a hostage-taker slashing the throat of his victim in front of the cameras or a suicide bomber who blows himself up during a wedding ceremony in Amman?”

After the printing of these poignant words and his sacking, Mr. Momani issued a public apology for being the first newspaper in a Muslim land to reprint the offensive caricatures of Mohammad, however that apology did not save him from imprisonment by his state.
