www.familywatchdog.us

This new web site is a useful tool to help ensure the safety of children in their own neighborhoods. A visitor to this site can enter an address and a map will show his own house as a small icon “map center” with red, blue, and green dots surrounding his entire neighborhood. Click on any of those dots and a mugshot your own local sexual predator will appear with his name and address and a description of his crime. Some people have been quite shocked at how many convicted pediphiles are living in their own neighborhood. You can show your children where they live and what they look like.

The site has been endorsed by “America’s Most Wanted” host John Walsh and child safety advocate Julie Clark. Family Watchdog features a unique service that provides email notification when registered sexual predators move into a neighborhood. It is part of the Amber Alert network.

United States, culture, abortion, California 12:20 pm

Here is a man who has admitted to brutally murdering a teenage girl, Terri Winchell, 25 years ago while, as he claimed, he was high on PCP and alcohol. It has taken 25 years for the state to finally exact some justice, yet there are grievous concerns that he who administered unmentionable agony in his rape and slaughtering of a young woman, may himself feel some pain  The state cannot find medical doctors to administer the "painless death".  Why not call upon some of the many abortionists in California who everyday end the lives of innocent human beings without a care in the world about a "painless death"? Cannot one or two of those doctors be taken up to San Quentin to bring death to someone who is truly deserving?

Press-Telegram - News SAN QUENTIN — The planned execution of a man convicted of raping and murdering a 17-year-old girl was delayed until Tuesday night after two anesthesiologists refused to participate because of ethical concerns.

With the execution scheduled for 12:01 a.m. Tuesday, defense lawyers requested a stay from the federal judge who last week ordered San Quentin State Prison to have an anesthesiologist on hand to minimize Michael Angelo Morales’ pain as he was put to death by lethal injection. A second anesthesiologist was retained as a backup.

What about the relatives of the murder victim? The newspaper reports that they "were visibly upset". "There was a great deal of concern on their faces under the circumstances of some people that Michael Morales would not suffer. They find that to be very disturbing."

Give me a break!  Talk about justice from the halls of justice! Justice indeed.

war, England, holidays, history 10:31 am

book This week we Americans are celebrating "All" President’s Day in lieu of honoring only our first president, George Washington. In actuality, the Americans of the nineteenth century elevated him almost to a deified status. Washington was and is quite deserving of all the adoration shown upon him. He was ordained by God to become the father of a new nation and he fulfilled his role well. He is probably now commanding a heavenly legion of angels, watching over his beloved land and protecting it. At least, that is my hope.

Washington was a person of many skills and various interests - what was known as a Renaissance man. Something that few people know is that during the American Revolution, our first George ran a spy ring. Imagine, George Washington, founder of what is now the CIA! He knew he was up against probably the world’s greatest army, an army with which he had served as an officer. He was a General in one army and a despised traitor in the other. The wise general knew that his army was mostly an undisciplined squad of ragtag farmers, and as Defense Secretary Rumsfeld famously said recently; "you go to war with the army you have, not the army you might want or wish to have".

Washington did not even have an army and when he finally raised one and took it to war, he lost many, many more battles than he ever won. With help from the intelligence he gathered by the running of his spy ring, he was able to outfox the British, and he won the final battle, the one that really counts. "George Washington, Spymaster" is a wonderful little book, especially for teenagers. Read it and learn about the intrigues of the long ago Revolutionary War.
