“The interactions between civilizations vary greatly in the extent to which they are likely to be characterized by violence. Economic competition clearly predominates between the American and European subcivilizations of the West and between both of them and Japan. On the Eurasian continent, however, the proliferation of ethnic conflict, epitomized at the extreme in ‘ethnic cleansing,’ has not been totally random. It has been most frequent and most violent between groups belonging to different civilizations. In Eurasia the great historic fault lines between civilizations are once more aflame. This is particularly true along the boundaries of the crescent-shaped Islamic bloc of nations from the bulge of Africa to central Asia. Violence also occurs between Muslims, on the one hand, and Orthodox Serbs in the Balkans, Jews in Israel, Hindus in India, Buddhists in Burma and Catholics in the Philippines. Islam has bloody borders.”
The “Bloody Borders Project” is a blogosphere creation by the writers at “Gates of Vienna”. Their inspiration for the project was the quotation above by Samuel P. Huntington, from an essay entitled “The Clash of Civilizations?”, published 1993.
“Gates of Vienna” author Baron Bodissey writes “September 11th captured our attention. Prior to that, few in the West had taken serious notice of the extent and virulence of Islamic terrorism. It is both brutal and enduring. … For decades before the Fall of 2001 Islamists terrorized their neighbors. However, the Bloody Borders Project is concerned solely with the violence since 9-11.”
At “The Bloody Borders Project” is an interactive map of all Islamic terror attacks since September 11th, 2001, showing the geography and the intensity of the violence along these “bloody borders”. Kerfuffles lives between the “bloody borders” of Grid Square #07-03, Affected Country: USA, and she remembers all too well the terrorism of each attack.

Christianity or Islam
There is a choice to be made when one considers Christianity and Islam since in much of their teaching they are diametrically opposed. Is it a choice then between two Gods or is it a choice between God and a power that opposes God?
Let us compare some of the fundamental teachings.
Islam teaches that all infidels are your enemy and either they submit to Islam or be killed in the name of their God Allah. And believers are not to have infidels as friends.
From the Koran: Sera 47:4 When you met the unbelievers, smite their necks, then, when you have made wide slaughter among them, tie fast their bonds: then set them free either by grace or ransom.
Sera 9.5 Then when the sacred months are drawn away, slay the idolaters where ever you find them, and take them, and confine them, and lie in wait for them in every place of ambush. But if they repent, and perform the prayer, and pay the alms, then let them go their way
Christianity teaches that we are to love our enemies and offer them a helping hand when needed. Which path would one prefer?
Luke 6:35 But love your enemies, do good and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High. For He is kind to the unthankful and evil. 36 Therefore be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful.
When Mo was contacted by Satan, Mo was taken in by Satan and incorporated the “Satanic verses into the Koran.
When Christ was contacted and tempted by Satan, Christ was in control. Satan was rebuffed 3 times. Lk. 4:1-12
When Mo was contacted by Allah there was fear and doubt and fever. We read that when Mohammad received his first messages from one he called God, there was great fear to the point that he felt the message must be from Satan. As we are told he came home in a state of great anxiety to gain comfort from his wife. She who had received no message from God convinced him, even though he was in great fear that the message was from God. But was it? Was his first impression correct?
The messages that Mo received were said to be from Allah, and who is or was Allah? Was he not one of many idols worshipped by Mo’s tribe. Why should Godly messages come in an atmosphere of fear?
A quote from Ali(600-661), the Prophet’s cousin and fourth caliph.
“You should never ask a woman her advice because her advice is worthless. Do not spend too much time in their company for they will lead you to your downfall”
After several high pressure sessions with the spirit Mo finally submitted believing that the spirit was the arch Angle Michael.
But the Bible tells us: “ 2 Cor 11:13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. 14 And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. 15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.”
On the other hand when the God of the bible contacts his people for special projects or an important message the conversation always contains “Do not be afraid” or “fear not”:
Mo never seemed to receive such assurance. Could it be that God never really contacted Mo and his original suspicion was correct and the messages were from Satan, as were the satanic verses? In his travels Mo had opportunity to hear about Christ but he did not believe.
2 Thess 2:9-12
9 The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, 10 and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, 12 that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
Here are a few examples of biblical quotes where God is communicating with His people,
there are many others.
Gen 15:1 After these things the word of the LORD came to Abram in a vision, saying, “Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward.”
Isa 41:13 For I, the LORD your God, will hold your right hand, Saying to you, ‘Fear not, I will help you.’ 14 “Fear not, you worm Jacob, You men of Israel! I will help you,” says the LORD. And your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.
Dan 10:18 Then again, the one having the likeness of a man touched me and strengthened me. 19 And he said, “O man greatly beloved, fear not! Peace be to you; be strong, yes, be strong!” So when he spoke to me I was strengthened, and said, “Let my lord speak, for you have strengthened me.”
Luke 1:11 Then an angel of the Lord appeared to him, standing on the right side of the altar of incense. 12 And when Zacharias saw him, he was troubled, and fear fell upon him. 13 But the angel said to him, “Do not be afraid, Zacharias, for your prayer is heard; and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you shall call his name John. 14 And you will have joy and gladness, and many will rejoice at his birth.
Luke 1:26 Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, 27 to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin’s name was Mary. 28 And having come in, the angel said to her, “Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!” 29 But when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and considered what manner of greeting this was. 30 Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. 31 And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name JESUS. 32 He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. 33 And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end.” 34 Then Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I do not know a man?” 35 And the angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God. So we see that God is the God of love and mercy, gentleness and kindness. So what is Allah?
The rational for murdering those who criticize Islam is to defend Allah. Why does God almighty need murders to defend Him. Since when does the God of the universe need anyone or anything as defenders. Only a weak god or a false god needs defending. Who are the defenders of Allah? Murders. Those who murder outsiders and murder their own people at the orders of their god are defending the god of murder, we call him Satan.
