John Fahey and the Peacock
John Fahey’s Primitive Guitar Music
If you are into guitars and old music, here is one video you cannot miss: Death of The Clayton Peacock (High Quality)
Add to My Profile | “The Death of the Clayton Peacock”.
You can see a dobro being played, perhaps for the first time, at a website dedicated to John Fahey. Listen to “Sligo River Blues” - beautiful!

I’m a HUGE Fahey fan and I just came across this great new CD called “John Fahey and Friends”. It has a track from what appeares to be John’s last acoustic recording session. You can find it at http://www.slackertone.com. I think it is available at Border’s as well.
Thanks for the blogging.

That’s a hawaiian slack key guitar. Dobros have been around since the 1920s and would have a resonator.

Buermann - Did I say “dobro”? Oh, I meant to say “ash tray”.
