Have you ever wondered where the “investigative” journalists of MSNBC, like David Shuster, do their research for the fables they tell against Republicans, conservatives and the Bush Administration? Corrupt mainstream journalists like Shuster do their research in the very same places as do the investigative journalists of “Slate Magazine,” “Mother Jones Magazine” and “The Los Angeles Times.” The blogosphere! Only problem, instead of reading real blogs like this one, Kerfuffles, the corrupt news reporters read blogs that do not really exist. That makes it very easy for them to get the latest corrupt news they are looking for, instead of having to wade through the truth.

MSNBC retracts false Palin story; others duped:
David Shuster, an anchor for the cable news network, said on air Monday that Martin Eisenstadt, a McCain policy adviser, had come forth and identified himself as the source of a Fox News Channel story saying Palin had mistakenly believed Africa was a country instead of a continent.

Eisenstadt identifies himself on a blog as a senior fellow at the Harding Institute for Freedom and Democracy. Yet neither he nor the institute exist; each is part of a hoax dreamed up by a filmmaker named Eitan Gorlin and his partner, Dan Mirvish, the New York Times reported Wednesday.

Eisenstadt’s “work” had been quoted and debunked before. The Huffington Post said it had cited Eisenstadt in July on a story regarding the Hilton family and McCain.

Among the other victims were political blogs for the Los Angeles Times and The New Republic, each of which referenced false material from Eisenstadt’s blog.

And in July, Jonathan Stein of Mother Jones magazine blogged an item about Eisenstadt speaking on Iraqi television about a casino in Baghdad’s “Green Zone.”

Eitan Gorlin and his partner Dan Mirvish have really stepped into the deep doo-doo. You don’t mess around with the likes of Corrupt MSNBC and expect NOT to be awarded MSNBC’s Badge of Courage - “Today’s Worst People in the World” Award when Keith Olbermann slithers from under his mossy rock to do his Lunatic Fringe Show tonight.

“”The Washington Post” must be feeling left out that they were not dupped by the Gorlin/Mirvish Team. Today WaPo has unleashed Howard Kurtz to label Sarah Palin a liar for claiming that the media attacked her family telling viscious lies about her teenage daughter regarding the birth of the Palin’s Down Syndrome baby (The Washington Post). Hello Howard? “The Atlantic Magazine” and NPR are not the media? Howard? Don’t you remember that it was you Howard Kurtz, according to patterico.com, who “demanded” that the McCain Campaign release the medical records of Sarah Palin’s pregnancy to “disprove” the vicious lies made up by the blog Daily Kos? UNBELIEVABLE! Just wondering; did Howard Kurtz ever “demand” to see medical records of the person running for President of the United States?

See America’s corrupt media in full battle mode as “The Atlantic Magazine” Attacks a Teenage Child for the “Sins” of Her Mother.

Daily Kos Contributors, Commenters and Dedicated Readers- They despise women and they abuse children. They are despicable child-hating perverts. They spew their vulgarities under pseudonyms such as “ArcXIX.” No one should trust any innocent child anywhere near a Daily Kos advocate.

The authorities should shut down “The Daily Kos” for the harm it is perpetuating upon an innocent minor. This is NOT about FREE SPEECH! It is about child abuse and should NOT be allowed. The blogger “ArcXIX” and his supporters should be locked away. THEY ARE DANGEROUS to our society!

Elizabeth Eubanks wrote an article in April 2008, about encountering Governor Palin at an airport and described her as noticeably pregnant: “Of course I had to check out the ‘Hottest Governor in the US’ and quickly turned to see her pregnant (she has since had her baby) with bags and daughter in tote” (http://www.polartrec.com/node/3944). First Lady Laura Bush mentioned meeting Sarah Palin when she was pregnant with her latest baby.

Although there are many genuine 2008 news photographs available on the Internet of a visibly pregnant Sarah Palin, these despicable Daily Kos child-abusing perverts used a Palin family portrait taken in Wasilla, Alaska, to slander an innocent sixteen-year-old girl. They posted a picture taken in 2006, from Lester of “Anchorage Daily News,” and gave it a fraudulent date to perpetuate their goal of harming the spirit and psyche of a child. Daily Kos has since replaced the photograph with one actually taken in 2008, where the still slandered and abused child is a year older, age seventeen.

To tar and feather these sick and dangerous Daily Kos contributors, and run them out of the country, would be a punishment much too civil for such creepy scum of the earth. They are beneath contempt. They lead lives of such depravity, that they have come to believe their thoughts, actions, and beliefs are the norm of a civilized society. Governor Palin is a big girl and she can take the slings and arrows of dirty politics, but to malign and deliberately destroy the character and life of a sixteen-year-old child of any politician, even a Republican one, is unforgivable any way one looks at it.

It is my fervent hope that the identity of “ArcXIX” is found out by investigators and that he and his “thousands” of aiders and abettors to this horrific crime of child abuse shall meet the justice they so well deserve - prison time and the eternal label of “child abuser.” This is NOT about FREE SPEECH! To deliberately and scurriously create slander to harm a child is child abuse and should NOT be sanctioned nor permitted by society.

AMERICA - wake up! Daily Kos is the Internet Blog Mouthpiece of the Democrat Party. It is the most popular blog on the entire Internet, which tells us something about how many people read and contribute to it. While respectable Democrats such as the Senators Debbies insult Governor Palin, the really vile and dirty Democrat crimes are handed off to “The Daily Kos” for execution.

Taking his lead from the Daily Kos, Daily Dish Andrew Sullivan himself joined the Internet stalking of a minor by posting a photograph of the slandered child, and then demanding that the McCain camp show him some evidence why the child deserved NOT to be harassed and abused.

The very ladylike Nan from American Daughter blog has nominated “Kerfuffles” for a Nice Matters Blog Award. The compliment is very much appreciated, Nan! She wrote to Kerfuffles:

The Nice Matters Blog Award is for ladies who have not only great blogs, but also who have more to them, there is caring, friendship and inspiration too:

This award will be awarded to those that are just nice people , good blog friends and those that inspire good feelings and inspiration! Those that care about others that are there to lend support or those that are just a positive influence in our blogging world!

And nice people are very good at finding other nice people. So the recipients of the award are invited to nominate up to seven other Blogosphere friends deserving of this recognition.

Because His Father Is A National Politician, Don’t Condemn His “Flying High in a Prius”.

A 24-year-old adult male is caught driving on the San Diego Freeway in California at speeds of 100 mph, under the influence of the illegal substance marijuana, and presumably under the influence of four prescription drugs for Attention Deficit Disorder found in his vehicle, and we bloggers are chided not to write about it because the suspected drunk driver is the son of a powerful politician. Oh yeah? What if the politician’s son had crashed and burned, killing innocent bystanders along with himself, would it still be unseemly to call attention to his lawbreaking? What kind of blogging standards are these?

“I know that some bloggers are having fun with this, and I don’t mean to be too critical of my friends, but it’s at the same level as the attacks on Jenna and Barbara Bush. We may dislike Al Gore’s policies and sanctimony, but that shouldn’t apply to his son. His misfortunes tell us nothing about his father’s policy or sanctimony, and as an adult, Al III answers for himself. Attacking Gore through his son amounts to a cheap shot.

“To the extent that the younger Gore broke the law and endangered people, he should be prosecuted and punished in accordance with the law and precedent of California. Let the folks in California deal with it.” Leave Him Alone

Let the folks in California deal with it. Leave Him Alone.” CASE CLOSED! Fast forward a short two days into the future and the very same blogger is wanting to jail the mother of another drunk driver, whose parents apparently have no political connections. “Where’s The Mother of this Drunk Driver?” This blogging double standard is a bit much for Kerfuffles to ignore. And BTB, refresh my memory. When was it that Barbara and/or Jenna Bush were arrested for drunken driving or caught under the influence of marijuana? For some reason, I just cannot remember those events.

That is what Nan at “American Daughter” is attempting. She has posted the entire article from which this clipping was taken. Steve Haas, a popular essayist, laments the loss of our American cultural identity which seems to have happened sometime in the last fifty years. It is probably my fault, as I was alive and kicking all that time. And I do remember prior to that time, believe it or not, when my heroes were always cowboys. There was Hopalong, Gene Autry, Roy Rogers and Dale.

Every nation has a history, and every nation’s history has an era that defines that nation; when the people of that nation think of themselves, that moment of glory is how they think of themselves as a member of that nation….

The unique aspect of the American mythos is its emphasis on goodness. …. Americans have always seen themselves as good people, more so than most other cultures. In fact, Americans have often been reviled by the more ‘sophisticated’ Europeans for their naivety. To us it is our strength, to Europe it is our weakness.

One of the most popular American television shows in the 1950’s was “Father Knows Best,” starring Robert Young, Jane Wyman, Elinor Donahue, Billy Grey and Lauren Chapin. This was a show about an idealized 1950 American family; the father was all-knowing, the mother was the perfect housekeeper and the children, while sometimes naughty, tried their best to be good. This television show was an outgrowth of this ‘good’ self-image that Americans believed truly reflected their society. It defined the iconic family for millions of Americans of the time, forming an ideal for which a good part of America strived….

I ♥ Kerfuffles
Kerfuffle, Kerfuffles, Kerfluffles and Kerfuffels! What Is The Meaning of Kerfuffles?

No, it is not a sack of potato chips! With so many, many visitors arriving daily, searching for the elusive meaning of the name of my blog, “KERFUFFLES,” I will once again provide the definition that I gave when I made my first blog posting at “Kerfuffles” in February of 2005. Although it is an ancient Gaelic word, it had fallen into the abyss of oblivion, until found and resuscitated by the author of one of the first blogs I started reading, James Taranto. Yes, that Mr. Taranto - the county seat of Ontario, or however the Canadians describe that city. Yes, the Taranto overlooking Wall Street at the corner of “Best of the Web”. To Mr. Taranto goes the credit for standardizing the word’s spelling in American usage. However, be forewarned that the British have yet to adopt our way so that oftentimes strange spellings are encountered, such as “curfluffels.”

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Yes, we have NO kerfuffles.
We have NO kerfuffles today.
We have curfuffles, carfuffles, cafuffles
and cafoufles, and we even have gefuffles;
But we have NO kerfuffles today!
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Kerfuffles is honored that her word has been made famous by our plain-speaking President, however the rest of the world is asking how did such a word as “kerfuffle” become a part of the vocabulary of the straight-talking Texas cowboy, George W. Bush. Speaking yesterday of his administration’s warrantless surveillance program, Mr. Bush said that it had “created quite a kerfuffle in the press,” according to Boston.com News “President Bush Talks `Kerfuffle.’”

In the whole wide world of words, “kerfuffle” is considered one of the world wide word’s weird ones, according to the Weird Word’s Dictionary. From an ordinary dictionary we find: kerfuffle - a noun: a commotion, a disorderly outburst or tumult; ‘they were amazed by the furious disturbance they had caused’ [synonym: disturbance, disruption, commotion, stir, flutter, hurly burly, to-do, hoo-ha, hoo-hah].

Google Kerfuffles — or check out these other “Kerfuffles” in the Kerfuffles Blogosphere, of which I know nothing more:

Hat Tip to WuzzaDem, who wrote “Do you know a web site or blog that repeats the same theme over and over?” How about this one: There’s a War On! Here is another: I ♥ Kerfuffles. “Arrrhhh and Avast!” to the Pirate’s Cove for bellowing kerfuffles from the briny main. is highly honored by the kerfuffle flattery, and will be listening to the President’s news conference today for any further mentions of her word. ;)

UPDATE: Kerfuffles didn’t hear anymore kerfuffles from President Bush. (Pronunciation)

We are sorry, Vi Beklager, Undskyld. “To The People of Norway and Denmark, WE ARE SORRY.”

So who are you, other than an unnamed Muslim? What is the value of an unsigned, unattributed apology? We could say such an apology is not worth the paper it is printed upon, however, this apology was not printed on paper - it exists only in cyberspace, causing Kerfuffles to wonder about Glen Reynolds and “Instapundit” that such a site was applauded and linked. Captain’s Quarters did the same, albeit expressing some skepticism, in contrast to Instapundit.

There you have it. Whoever it is that is “sorrynorwaydenmark.com” says “he/she/it/they” “is/are” so sorry. The domain “sorrynorwaydenmark.com” is listed:

But She Rejects the Hitler-Nazi Implication.

Since the post I made about former FBI Agent and FBI Whistle-blower Coleen Rowley publishing a photograph of her Minnesota congressional GOP opponent in the uniform of an enemy of the United States, Ms. Rowley has since issued an apology that was brow-beaten out of her web master. Seems, her webmaster is so young that he had never heard of Hitler or the Nazis, so when he used the uniform of “Hogan’s Hero’s” Colonel Klink as a replacement for Colonel/Congressman John Kline’s United States Marine Corps uniform, he was thinking that Colonel Klink was a fictitious TV character. In reality, as Ms. Rowley pointed out in her webmaster’s apology, Colonel Klink was not a Nazi, but wore the uniform of the Luftwaffe, not the SS or the Gestapo. Ms. Rowley emphasised that she in no way invoked Godwin’s Law, as she never mentioned the name of the despotic German dictator nor of his Nazi party, therefore she cannot be considered the loser. She remains in the race.

Josh Trevina over at “Spot-On” has quite an insightful post on the bloggers who have been invited to Holland, all expenses paid by Holland.com. (See “Going Dutch to A-Dam”.) Trevina himself was amongst the bloggers who were flown to Scotland for Live 8 last summer, and now he is pondering if he should have taken the free travel and lodging from the event organizers, and whether that affected his writing. Affected his writing? How could it not have!

But you have to give it to Adam over at “Slice”, the pizza blog, who is himself one of the Netherlands 25. He holds nothing back in his post “Slice Going to Amsterdam”:

“Late next month, I’ll be going to Amsterdam. Full disclosure: The trip is part of a junket for bloggers put together by Holland.com, the web presence of the Netherlands Board of Tourism and Conventions. Holland.com is paying for the flight as well as five nights in a hotel near the city center, and an Amsterdam public-transport pass.”

“Slice” too pondered the ethics of accepting a junket a la Jack Abramoff and came through with a most tortured explanation of his decision to go. See, Holland.com is attempting to attract foreign tourists which in no way has anything to do with pizza, the subject of the “Slice” blog. Now, if “Slice” had been offered an all expense paid trip to Chicago to review deep dish pizza pies, he would have had to decline as that would clearly be a conflict of pizza interests, and besides he hates deep dish pizza.

The RNC Bloggers in Bloggerville Blog.

Congratulations to good friend of Kerfuffles, Pat Cleary of the blog “NAM”, for his stint at the RNC event. Pat, who is one of the most connected bloggers in Bloggerville is reporting:

Just heard from a GOP strategist, handicapping the Senate and House races in ‘06. Bottom line is they predict “no doubt” they will keep control of the Senate and “we will certainly keep the majority in the House”, adding, “This is not 1994.” A sense that these will be local races, not an overriding national theme. This person noted that bloggers “had a major impact” in the elections of ‘04, “have changed the way campaigns are conducted.”

Just got briefing from Patrick Ruffini, the eCampaign director here at the NC. He echoes the above theme. There are 24.7 million blogs — 30% of Internet users visited a blog in 2005. New local blogs - for candidates — have cropped up, drawing national-sized audiences, like Kennedy vs. the Machine, being used by Mark Kennedy, Senate candidate in Minnesota. Blogs create an opportunity to interact directly with newsmakers (and voters), no filter.

Linked at “Michelle Malkin”.
