Surely John Adams Is Repenting in Heaven For the Sheep Who Are His Posterity.

Although it is sad to contemplate, it is the reality of today’s America, as more and more traditional Americans of faith, conservatives, small business owners, the military, are feeling disenfranchised from their own country and their government. I am one of them.

How can any American of old-fashioned honesty and character continue to believe in a government that is so blatantly corrupt? How can Americans trust greedy leaders who tax them to redistribute their hard earned money as rewards to other greedy politicians and overpaid and corrupt business executives? We have only to examine Congress’s own businesses, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, that were plundered by that same Congress and their favored friends, resulting in the near collapse of the nation’s banking system. This is even before we ponder the now commonplace scenario of tenaciously clutching onto so-called elected positions until death do they depart, only to bequeath those seats in Congress to family members as though they were a part of an anointed Solon’s estate. Now we are discovering that in the former land of Lincoln, a United States Senate seat is offered to the highest bidder.

The church I have belonged to all of my life is being attacked and its members persecuted by my fellow countrymen and America’s vetted churches of Christendom. My traditional beliefs that were taught me long ago by my family, teachers and church are now lampooned by Americans of today who know little of America’s history. We are now described as uneducated and full of hate by “in favor” American Christians, when we are not being ridiculed. I have been publicly told by the now President-elect of the United States that the American flag I once proudly displayed at my home and wore on my clothing, was merely a sign of my own “false patriotism.” I have never felt a racist thought against anyone, and have lived closely with people of many different races including African Americans. However, for the first time in my long life, in 2008, I was repeatedly labelled a racist because I, a conservative, did not support a liberal black man as candidate for President of the U.S. At the same time, those very same Americans who labeled John McCain supporters as racists, now condemn the founders of this country because those who volunteered in 1776, to sacrifice their own blood, sweat and tears for our freedom, were rich white males.

“Posterity! you will never know how much it cost the present generation to preserve your freedom! I hope you will make a good use of it If you do not, I shall repent in Heaven that I ever took half the pains to preserve it.” ~John Adams letter to his wife Abigail Adams, 26 April 1777.

We, the disenfranchised Americans, were taught that our vote was sacred; that it had been won for us with the blood of patriots. How can we continue to believe that when we see with our own eyes federally-funded groups such as A.C.O.R.N run ads on television against our preferred conservative candidate? Why would we continue going to the polls when we know that these same federally-sanctioned community organizations will be stealing our votes, with our own tax money, by overwhelming them with dozens or hundreds of ill-gotten illegal votes? How can our “one” vote stand up against the onslaught of criminality encouraged by our own government’s elected officials?

Today, all over America, the military, conservatives and Christians are being publicly disenfranchised in the very nation that their predecessors created. Signs of faith of “out of favor” Christians are banned, outlawed, and destroyed. We see that a law-abiding “out of favor” group, the Mormons, cannot go to the polls and vote their consciences without violent ramifications and persecutions, whilst members of African American churches are praised for doing the exact same thing. When Christians cannot freely speak on public streets without police protection, or even with police protection, we see that not only is “Freedom of Religion” dead, but “Freedom of Speech” is too. (See the VIDEO.)

Just today, two weeks before our Christian holiday of Jesus’ birth, the Alaskan church of Sarah Palin was struck by arsonists. The smoke alarms of the church saved the lives of the women and children working inside, from evil would be murderers of innocent “out of favor” Christians. (Anchorage, Alaska) Governor Palin’s Church is one of those conservative churches that is now reviled by much of America, the media, late night comics and mainstream Protestantism. Her church believes in the same traditional Christian tenets that the Pilgrims and Puritans brought to this land; tenets which come from the Holy Bible.

However, these disenfranchised Americans who are being deprived of their Constitutional rights, are still expected to swear oaths supporting the Constitution that is not supporting them, to pay taxes which are then used in schemes to further bludgeon them, to send their children to schools to be indoctrinated to revile their own parents’ beliefs and culture, and to continue to raise their young people to believe it patriotic to fight America’s wars, although America will never fight for any of the reviled, out-of-favor, and disenfranchised ones.

Mainstream America, secular and progressive America, finds that fair and just, as they tell us that we are disenfranchised from their “changed” America because we are worse than Hitler and more frightening than Osama bin Laden and all of Al Qaeda put together.

In another sign that the slowing American economy is responding to the election of Barack Obama, consumer prices tumbled by a record amount in October, anticipating his historic win. The Consumer Price Index, a key measure of how much Americans spend on groceries, clothing, entertainment and other goods and services, fell by 1 percent in October compared with prices in the previous month, the Labor Department reported Wednesday morning. It was the steepest single-month drop in the 61-year history of the pricing survey and as Americans will be able to purchase more goods and services, with their paychecks thanks to the economic competetence of Barack Obama and his team.

Energy prices led the decline in October, falling 8.6 percent as the price of gasoline continued its steady slide from highs of more than $4 a gallon. The costs of transportation fell 5.4 percent while clothing prices fell 1 percent. “It’s funny that just a few months ago everyone was wringing their hands over inflation,” said Nariman Behravesh, chief economist at Global Insight. “It’s gone. It’s over.” Americans will be able to drive anywhere this holiday season on the cheap, and continue to purchase their beloved gas-guzzlers from Detroit. Once Detroit’s Big Three Automakers are totally nationalized under President Obama and his Democrat Congress, automobliles will become even more affordable for American consumers.

Under the new Obama Administration, Americans will be able to spend as never before, as prices drop across the board. It is a consumer’s dream. Shares on Wall Street were sharply lower Wednesday morning following the reports, which thrilled Obama’s voters even more. It is time that those rich Republicans got their comeuppance as Mr. Obama promised would happen under his economic plan. The Obama voters are anticipating the increased taxes on the rich will bring more wealth into the National Treasury, that Mr. Obama will be able to spread around to those who haven’t earned it, giving those most deserving of America’s consumers even more power in their pocketbooks.

Economists said the tumbling consumer prices offered more evidence that companies ranging from boutiques to airlines to car dealerships were beginning to offer deep discounts to push their merchandise out the door, before closing their doors for good. Consumers are almost ecstatic as they await the beginning of the holiday shopping season. Mr. Behravesh said: “All of a sudden, any pricing power that companies might have had is gone. You’re going to see discounting like crazy going on. All kinds of sales. You’re going to see all kinds of prices being slashed.”

WE CANNOT WAIT! Let the party begin. Happy Days Are Here Again! Get yours, before it’s all gone - FOREVER!

I know it’s true as I read it in “The New York Times.”

Kansans Promote National Barack Obama Day.

“Toto, I’ve a feeling we’re not in Kansas any more.” Yes Dorothy, we’re not in Kansas, as there is no Kansas anymore. It has been blown away by the Obama Tornado.

Barack Obama Day

In Topeka, “Yes We Can Land” (formerly Kansas) an historic movement is underway to promote Barack Obama Day as a national holiday. For twelve hours, every Tuesday at McDonald’s Restaurant, “Yes We Can” rallies will be held until the goal of securing a national holiday in Obama’s honor is secured. This is NOT a joke as I read it today in The Topeka Capital-Journal and World Net Daily.

Britisher Peter Hitchens describes Obama worshipers as “bereft of reason and hostile to facts” and he asks if Obama is John Lennon resurrected from the dead. That seems to explain how Barack Obama is a shoo-in for a national holiday which has been historically reserved only for the dearly departed.

The swooning frenzy over the choice of Barack Obama as President of the United States must be one of the most absurd waves of self-deception and swirling fantasy ever to sweep through an advanced civilisation. At least Mandela-worship – its nearest equivalent – is focused on a man who actually did something.

I really don’t see how the Obama devotees can ever in future mock the Moonies, the Scientologists or people who claim to have been abducted in flying saucers. This is a cult like the one which grew up around Princess Diana, bereft of reason and hostile to facts. (Wave Goodbye to America).

Early on Inauguration morning, January 20, 2009, a special Obama Mass will be celebrated at the McDonald’s Restaurant of downtown Topeka. Worshipers will partake of Obama Cake as a symbolic remembrance of the Holy Host of Our Lord Barack, who is so great, even He worships Himself. Cherry Kool-Aid will be drunk by the faithful from an old McDonald’s silver chalice in remembrance of His Holy Blood that was never shed for anyone. All Obama Nation workers will be guaranteed to have the day free to offer obeisance and honor to His Exalted Holiness our Lord, the First Black President.

What’s Obama Cake, you ask? Here’s a SlideShow from Flickr of Hundreds. Take Your Pick!

UPDATE: It is not just Kansas, that is no longer Kansas, Toto. “The Washington Post” of Washington DC has proclaimed that on Inauguration Day, Barack Obama will become the FIRST Pastor in Chief of Spirituality. What happened to the liberals’ beloved “separation of church and state?” That’s all out the window with the advent of the Cult of Obama. Just don’t try any of that God or Jesus stuff any more - as that’s so “yesterday.”

A light will shine down from somewhere. You will have a light upon you. You will experience an epiphany, …” ~~Barack Obama.

The “Beautiful Star of Bethlehem”, sung bluegrass style by Patti Loveless.

O beautiful star of Bethlehem
Shining far through shadows dim
Giving the light for those who long have gone
Guiding the wise men on their way
Unto the place where Jesus lay
O beautiful star of Bethlehem
Shine on

O beautiful star the hope of life
Guiding the pilgrims through the night
Over the mountains ’til the break of dawn
Into the land of perfect day
It will give out a lovely ray
O beautiful star of Bethlehem
Shine on

O beautiful star of Bethlehem
Shine upon us until the glory dawns
Give us a lamp to light the way
Unto the land of perfect day
O beautiful star of Bethlehem
Shine on

O beautiful star the hope of grace
For the redeemed, the good and the blessed
Yonder in glory when the crown is won
Jesus is now the star divine
Brighter and brighter He will shine
O beautiful star of Bethlehem
Shine on

O beautiful star of Bethlehem
Shine upon us until the glory dawns
Give us a lamp to light the way
Unto the land of perfect day
O beautiful star of Bethlehem
Shine on

O beautiful star of Bethlehem
Shine on

Is Thanksgiving as a holiday doomed to oblivion? Or will only the name be changed to something more appropriate for our changed nation and society?

I oft times wonder how long it can be before someone, somewhere will take to the American courts to have the national Thanksgiving holiday declared unconstitutional. After all, giving thanks for blessings is an act of supplication to the Almighty, an act that has been publicly banned now for a long time in our secular society.

However, the feeling of gratitude has been a part of our national character since its very founding. After the Declaration of Independence, the American Congress proclaimed days of fasting and of thanksgiving annually throughout the Revolutionary War. The first proclamation by Congress was dated May 17, 1776, calling for a “day of Humiliation, Fasting and Prayer” throughout the colonies. Congress urged fellow citizens to “confess and bewail our manifold sins and transgressions, and by a sincere repentance and amendment of life, appease his [God’s] righteous displeasure, and through the merits and mediation of Jesus Christ, obtain his pardon and forgiveness.” Massachusetts ordered a “suitable Number” of the proclamations printed so “that each of the religious Assemblies in this Colony, may be furnished with a Copy of the same” and added the motto “God Save This People” as a substitute for “God Save the King.”

From a Wartime President
He requests prayers, both public and private on Thanksgiving day. He quotes the Holy Bible. How does he get away with such behavior? Very easy, … he was a Democrat.

It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord.” Across the uncertain ways of space and time our hearts echo those words, for the days are with us again when, at the gathering of the harvest, we solemnly express our dependence upon Almighty God.

The final months of this year, now almost spent, find our Republic and the Nations joined with it waging a battle on many fronts for the preservation of liberty.

In giving thanks for the greatest harvest in the history of our Nation, we who plant and reap can well resolve that in the year to come we will do all in our power to pass that milestone; for by our labors in the fields we can share some part of the sacrifice with our brothers and sons who wear the uniform of the United States.

It is fitting that we recall now the reverent words of George Washington, “Almighty God, we make our earnest prayer that Thou wilt keep the United States in Thy holy Protection,” and that every American in his own way lift his voice to heaven.

I recommend that all of us bear in mind this great Psalm:
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul; he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil:
for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies:
thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life:
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

Inspired with faith and courage by these words, let us turn again to the work that confronts us in this time of national emergency: in the armed services and the merchant marine; in factories and offices; on farms and in the mines; on highways, railways, and airways; in other places of public service to the Nation; and in our homes.

Now, therefore, I, Franklin D. Roosevelt, President of the United States of America, do hereby invite the attention of the people to the joint resolution of Congress approved December 26, 1941, which designates the fourth Thursday in November of each year as Thanksgiving Day; and I request that both Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 1942, and New Year’s Day, January 1, 1943, be observed in prayer, publicly and privately.

book This week we Americans are celebrating "All" President’s Day in lieu of honoring only our first president, George Washington. In actuality, the Americans of the nineteenth century elevated him almost to a deified status. Washington was and is quite deserving of all the adoration shown upon him. He was ordained by God to become the father of a new nation and he fulfilled his role well. He is probably now commanding a heavenly legion of angels, watching over his beloved land and protecting it. At least, that is my hope.

Washington was a person of many skills and various interests - what was known as a Renaissance man. Something that few people know is that during the American Revolution, our first George ran a spy ring. Imagine, George Washington, founder of what is now the CIA! He knew he was up against probably the world’s greatest army, an army with which he had served as an officer. He was a General in one army and a despised traitor in the other. The wise general knew that his army was mostly an undisciplined squad of ragtag farmers, and as Defense Secretary Rumsfeld famously said recently; "you go to war with the army you have, not the army you might want or wish to have".

Washington did not even have an army and when he finally raised one and took it to war, he lost many, many more battles than he ever won. With help from the intelligence he gathered by the running of his spy ring, he was able to outfox the British, and he won the final battle, the one that really counts. "George Washington, Spymaster" is a wonderful little book, especially for teenagers. Read it and learn about the intrigues of the long ago Revolutionary War.

Bobbie Burns, Scotland’s beloved eighteenth-century poet is most famous for a poem that he did not pen. Robert Burns, wrote to an acquaintance, “There is an old song and tune which has often thrilled through my soul. You know I am an enthusiast in old Scotch songs. I shall give you the verses on the other sheet … Light be the turf on the breast of the heaven-inspired poet who composed this glorious fragment! There is more of the fire of native genius in it than in half a dozen of modern English Bacchanalians.” The song was a version that Burns fashioned of “Auld Lang Syne,” a tune that rings out annually at the stroke of midnight on New Year’s eve, and is even sung by people around the world, although few know the words. The two most famous stanzas were written by Robert Burns:

Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And never brought to mind?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And auld lang syne!

For auld lang syne, my dear,
For auld lang syne.
We’ll tak a cup o’ kindness yet,
For auld lang syne.
